LeAnna Rowe is a freelance location photographer who specializes in maternity, documentary,
and artistic nudes. She creates images for both exhibition (print) and publication.
Her non-traditional style grows from her love of unique people, eclectic cultural
backgrounds and capturing the individuality of every moment. With a passion for
capturing the journey and a nomadic spirit, LeAnna left Ohio in 2003 with only a
backpack, few clothes and a Nikon camera. Along this journey she worked and lived
in New York, Dallas, Honolulu and now resides in Raleigh, NC.
In Dallas she learned basic principles of documentary photography; time was spent
capturing the nightlife of Dallas which resulted with gigs in California and Las
Vegas photographing the dance and music industries.
With a lust for adventure, she set her lens on Honolulu, Hawaii, the unique topical
city in the middle of the ocean. She also spent extended time on 6 of the 8 Hawaiian
Islands documenting the people, luscious landscapes, exotic flowers and wildlife
of these special islands.
During LeAnna's travels she found her focus as a photographer; “I
create images of women because I love to do it. I find something completely alluring
in it. I can “lose myself”, so to speak, and I believe any good artist does just
that.”
